Intel Mac Support

Until now, Remember This required Apple Silicon. Starting with v0.8.0, there's a native Intel build available on the download page.

Voice memo transcription works exactly the same on Intel — Whisper runs well and all 99+ languages are supported. The one difference is photo captioning: Apple Silicon's Neural Engine allows a larger, more capable vision model. On Intel the app uses a smaller model, so captions may be shorter or occasionally less precise. Everything else is identical.

Also in this release

• Duplicate photos from iCloud sync are resolved. Signing out of iCloud or restoring from a backup could cause the app to re-index your library as if it were new, creating duplicate entries. Fixed. Existing users see a one-time migration dialog that cleans this up automatically.
• iCloud-only videos no longer get stuck. Videos that hadn't been downloaded from iCloud to your Mac used to fail permanently. The app now triggers the download and picks up transcription once the file arrives.
• Transcription always takes priority over photo captioning. Recording a voice memo or using push-to-talk now immediately jumps ahead of any background photo captioning work.
